Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Petroleum Laboratory Technician to join the Caleb Brett team at the St. Louis, MO facility. Responsibilities
- Performs numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas.
- Assists with equipment calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Cleans glassware and test equipment.
- Assists with preparing reagents as needed.
- Records data on appropriate data sheets and reports data to the LIMS system.
- Maintains quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories.
- Complies with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
- Participates in cross-training as needed.

- Proficiency using LIMS applications and established chemistry lab processes.

- Ability to utilize non-complex and complex instrumentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Successful completion of at least one semester of college-level chemistry and/or prior work experience in a laboratory environment preferred.
- Gas Chromatography (GC) experience is a plus.
