Scientific Gretna, LA Contract Sep 28, 2026 Lab Tech Jr. Location: Gretna, LA Training: Mon-Fri 7 PM - 3:30 AM; will move to posted schedule after training, Full-time, Contract, Scientific Position Overview Join our client’s dynamic toxicology laboratory as a Junior Lab Technician. In this vital role, you will operate advanced analytical instruments to perform confirmatory testing in a regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in biology or chemistry to gain hands-on experience in a high-impact laboratory setting. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of test results, following strict regulatory guidelines. The position offers a structured training period and the chance to contribute to essential quality control processes. Key Responsibilities Operate Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) and LC-MS/MS instruments for confirmatory testingPerform testing in accordance with SAMHSA mandatory guidelines and other regulatory requirementsConduct quality control (QC) duties as assignedReview and interpret test results for accuracy and compliance Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related fieldFamiliarity with laboratory instrumentation and procedures Preferred: Experience operating GC/MS and LC-MS/MS instrumentsKnowledge of SAMHSA or other regulatory guidelines Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn.
