Lab Technician I - 1st Shift (6 AM - 2:30 PM)

Responsibilities

• Prepares buffers and other general laboratory reagents according to standard formulations.
• Formulates bulk products consisting of one or more reagent components according to the manufacturing specifications.
• Performs in-process or final product testing.
• Operates and maintains measurement instruments needed to assure product is manufactured correctly.
• Operates and maintains production equipment.
• Maintains inventory of in-process materials, chemicals and other supplies.
• Completes assigned training required to perform work duties.
• Completes assigned training on quality and regulatory requirements affecting own area of work and complies with those requirements.
• Buys quality and regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.
• Follows Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
• Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area.
• Participates in EH&S programs.
• Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
• May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Requirements

• Able to stand for long hours.
• Wet lab experience required.
• Should be able to lift 30 lbs or more comfortably.
