Lab Technician, Building Automation Technology Student Worker

About the role

This position assists in organization, preparation, and maintenance of the Wake Tech Building Automation lab. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment for laboratory use
• Performs maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
• Troubleshoots and repairs broken equipment
• Assists with preparing and setting up equipment and parts needed to conduct laboratory assignments
• Assists with equipment and device inventory
• Assists with lab safety and procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools, including machine tools
• Knowledge of lab safety procedures and processes

Requirements

• Current Wake Tech Student enrolled in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology Program
