The ideal candidate is a hands-on scientist with a strong foundation in molecular biology techniques, genomic analysis, and experimental design. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers while utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), to drive scientific discovery and innovation. Key Responsibilities Design, plan, and execute experiments investigating gene expression, protein function, and cellular pathways.Perform molecular biology techniques including:PCR, RT-PCR, and qPCRMolecular cloningDNA/RNA extraction and purificationRestriction enzyme digestionGel electrophoresiscDNA synthesis and library preparationConduct and support Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows, including sample preparation, sequencing analysis, and interpretation of genomic data.Analyze, interpret, and present complex experimental results using statistical and bioinformatics tools.Troubleshoot experimental challenges and optimize laboratory protocols to improve efficiency and data quality.Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in accordance with regulatory and safety requirements.Collaborate closely with scientists across multiple disciplines to support research objectives and project milestones.Contribute to scientific publications, technical reports, grant applications, and conference presentations.Mentor and train junior scientists, research associates, and students on laboratory techniques and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.Demonstrated laboratory experience in molecular biology research.Hands-on experience with molecular biology methodologies, including PCR, qPCR, cloning, nucleic acid purification, and gene expression analysis.Experience with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, sequencing data analysis, and genomic workflows is highly preferred.Familiarity with sequencing platforms, bioinformatics tools, and genomic data analysis pipelines.Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate scientific findings.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.Passion for scientific discovery and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, CT. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
