- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or Biochemistry OR Associates degree plus 1 year of laboratory support experience; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of laboratory support.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
- Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime when necessary; required to work weekends when necessary.
- Required to be at least 21 years of age.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or Biochemistry plus 2 years of chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience.
- Skilled in the use of MS Word and Excel
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in an ISO:17025 accredited laboratory
- Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Skilled in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Skills
- Skilled in the use of MS Word and Excel
