About the role

Nuclear Manufacturing contributes to Cardinal Health's manufacturing operations by focusing on the production of time-sensitive radiopharmaceuticals in a highly regulated environment. This role operates in a 40-hour per week schedule, rotating shifts from Sunday to Thursday and Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete extensive training, including e-learning and hands-on components, to demonstrate and maintain proficiency
  • Manufactures radioactive isotopes (including setup, manipulations, and distribution)
  • Conducts quality control testing of each batch using various instruments (gas chromatograph, dose calibrator, multi-channel analyzer, TLC plate scanner, high pressure liquid chromatograph, analytical balance, PTS, laminar flow hood and fume hood)
  • Works in ISO 7 cleanroom to make product vials and customer vials for drug production
  • Demonstrates strong documentation practices, oral communication, and writing skills
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including maintenance of daily production records, report preparation, and record maintenance
  • Manages SAP Inventory (includes receiving materials, inspecting materials for use, and conducting cycle counts)
  • Performs daily radiation safety tasks and general lab cleaning

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with preferred education in Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
  • 0-1 years of experience preferred, with lab experience highly preferred
  • Flexible to work overnight shifts (facility operates at night)
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, preferably in a controlled environment and/or regulated industry
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills
  • Able to manage several tasks simultaneously and evaluate operating conditions
  • Able to manage up to 75 pounds and perform manual dexterity tasks
  • Able to see fine particulates and differentiate colors in liquid solutions
  • Able to hear, write, and speak clearly in a manufacturing setting
