Lab Technician, Analytical

Essential Job Functions

• Demonstrates and is responsible for all functions of lab, including analytical techniques, data communication, and understanding of testing programs.
• Responsible for documenting daily throughput of designated processes.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal communications, which facilitates technical information transfer.
• Affords assistance in implementing a laboratory quality assurance program, including instrumentation maintenance and calibration, control sample testing and review, and all documentation required of a sound program.
• Trains Lab Technicians on assigned processes and serves as the primary technical resource for Lab Technicians.
• Interacts in a positive manner with management, leaders, and coworkers.
• Effectively manages time and prioritizes tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Participates in laboratory and plant safety programs, adhering to company policies regarding safety and environmental issues.

Knowledge and Experience

• Required: High School Diploma, 1+ years of laboratory experience, experience with Perkin Elmer Optima 7000 DV.
• PREFERRED: Bachelors Degree in science related field, 3+ years of laboratory experience, IATA/DOT shippers certification.
