Responsibilities

  • Carry out chemical sampling at client sites and in-lab environments, adhering to cleanroom standards.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory levels, and ensure lab apparatus and sample containers are clean.
  • Log and manage sample data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), including assigning procedures, priorities, and dispositions.
  • Support analytical testing such as assay analysis and solid content determination following training.
  • Prepare media and perform experiments as outlined in research protocols.
  • Label and store clean bottles using clean handling techniques; manage cleanroom waste and complete hazardous materials shipping documentation.
  • Perform limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments, including glassware washing.
  • Participate in quality assurance and safety programs, identifying and reporting deviations from protocols.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in laboratory procedures, protocols, and cleanroom environments.
  • Familiarity with hazardous chemical handling and cleanroom packing techniques.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Effective communication skills, including listening, informing, and presenting.
  • Safe driving record and ability to wear required PPE and cleanroom garments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with LIMS and sample management systems.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with shipping hazardous materials and completing regulatory documentation.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP.
  • Understanding of process management and continuous improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum HS Diploma, and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of “hands-on” chemical experience.
  • Trained on transportation of hazardous materials under Department of Transportation regulations.
