Responsibilities
- Carry out chemical sampling at client sites and in-lab environments, adhering to cleanroom standards.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory levels, and ensure lab apparatus and sample containers are clean.
- Log and manage sample data in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), including assigning procedures, priorities, and dispositions.
- Support analytical testing such as assay analysis and solid content determination following training.
- Prepare media and perform experiments as outlined in research protocols.
- Label and store clean bottles using clean handling techniques; manage cleanroom waste and complete hazardous materials shipping documentation.
- Perform limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments, including glassware washing.
- Participate in quality assurance and safety programs, identifying and reporting deviations from protocols.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory and operational needs.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in laboratory procedures, protocols, and cleanroom environments.
- Familiarity with hazardous chemical handling and cleanroom packing techniques.
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Effective communication skills, including listening, informing, and presenting.
- Safe driving record and ability to wear required PPE and cleanroom garments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with LIMS and sample management systems.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentation.
- Familiarity with shipping hazardous materials and completing regulatory documentation.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP.
- Understanding of process management and continuous improvement methodologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum HS Diploma, and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of “hands-on” chemical experience.
- Trained on transportation of hazardous materials under Department of Transportation regulations.
Skills
