Location: Sumter, SC • Duration: 6 months • Schedule: 1st shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on a 3-2-2-3 rotation • Employment Type: W2 contract (US Citizens, GC holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT only)
About the Role
Supports all departments by performing mold approvals, dimensional analyses, and all accompanying documentation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and performs mold approvals on new and reworked molds.
- Performs dimensional analysis/inspections on molded parts.
- Maintains dimensional histories for all molds.
- Assists in performing validation activities including measurements data collection for DOE’s, ISIR’s, Process Development, Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, and Performance Qualification Runs.
- Operates and properly maintains precision measuring equipment.
- Notifies appropriate personnel of dimensional discrepancies as they occur.
- Utilizes and understands blueprints and specifications as related to physical and dimensional properties.
- Performs process inspections in the molding area; performs molding-related projects as necessary.
- Evaluates data and prepares necessary reports.
- Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Regulations.
- Programs automated measurement equipment to automate inspection routines where appropriate.
- Performs dimensional inspections for all departments as needed.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. (required if hired after 6/1/00).
- Vocational/Technical School training (preferred).
- 1 year of experience using measurement tools.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with precision measuring instruments and interpretation of blueprints and specifications.
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of computers with ability to run Windows-based spreadsheets.
- Experience with measurement tools such as video measurement (desirable).
- Ability to be trained in programming automated measurement equipment.
