Lab Technical Assistant

About the role

Performs blood and specimen collection, clerical and computer tasks, and specimen processing. Conducts waived and moderately complex tests as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood and other specimens following established procedures.
• Performs clerical duties and manages specimen processing.
• Conducts waived and moderately complex laboratory tests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy or laboratory assistant program, or at least six months of experience in specimen collection or testing techniques.

Preferred Skills

• Phlebotomy or Laboratory Assistant registry.
• Completion of a relevant phlebotomy, laboratory processing, or similar program.
