About the Role

The Lab Tech 3 performs phlebotomy, specimen processing, testing, and clerical support. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, communicating with patients and healthcare personnel, and maintaining laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts advanced laboratory procedures with limited range of possible errors.
• Sorts, labels, and records patient specimens.
• Prepares specimens, materials, and equipment for testing by Medical Technologists.
• Operates laboratory equipment (centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer, etc.).
• Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Communicates effectively with laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
• Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• National phlebotomy certification (preferred: 4+ years of hospital phlebotomy experience).
