About the role
Generate and maintain mouse models of open angle glaucoma including long-term maintenance of a mouse colony; conduct visual functional testing (e.g., optokinetic response and pattern ERG). The PI will train the successful applicant in methods of model generation. Perform dissection, processing, mounting/embedding, cryosection, and immunohistochemical staining of ocular specimens and tissues. Conduct imaging and analysis of stained tissues using live imaging microscopes. Isolate protein, RNA, and DNA from cultured cells and murine ocular tissues for western blot, PCR, sequencing, and ELISA assays. Perform statistical and image analyses using Prism, ImageJ, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel. Generate presentation slides using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Pay
$7.25 – $11.54 hourly. Salary offers are based on candidate qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they relate to the position, and are aligned with external market data and internal peer data.
