About the role
Join our team and play a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations! As a Laboratory Technician, you'll conduct laboratory analyses, evaluate results, and deliver critical data to drive operational success. You'll prepare samples, handle calibration, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot laboratory instruments, and ensure everything operates smoothly. Using advanced data systems, you'll acquire and monitor analytical performance, providing accurate reports to clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine laboratory analyses to support manufacturing operations.
- Collect samples according to established Sample Plans, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare calibration standards and perform basic instrument calibration and preventative maintenance.
- Evaluate data validity, apply fundamental statistical methods, interpret results, and take actionable steps as needed.
- Monitor analytical systems, quickly identify issues, and perform first-level troubleshooting or escalate when necessary.
- Document, communicate, and archive analytical results and calibration data for traceability.
- Follow EHandS and Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS) procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
- Recommend improvements to laboratory processes and tools for continuous enhancement.
- Escalate unique or non-routine requests to team members for further investigation.
Requirements
Applicants should meet one of the following criteria:
- Associate’s degree in a science-related field (preferred), or
- High school diploma with 0-3 years of laboratory, manufacturing, or relevant experience, or
- Recent graduate with relevant education and a strong interest in laboratory work.
Schedule
The schedule is a rotating DuPont Schedule with 12-hour shifts. The shift rotation includes both day and night work throughout the month. Extended off periods, including a seven-day break, are built into the schedule. Approximately 14 working days per month are required.
