Lab Tech Aide I

About the Role

Performs waived and up to moderate complexity testing on manual, automated, and semi-automated platforms. Processes specimens and specimen setup according to department policy and procedure. Assists Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), Histology Tech (HT), and Cytotechnologist (CT) with daily operations. Performs instrument maintenance, quality control, and troubleshooting. Handles Laboratory Assistant functions and shares skills intra-departmentally.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and moderate complexity testing on various platforms (manual, automated, semi-automated).
• Process and set up specimens in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Assist Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), Histology Tech (HT), and Cytotechnologist (CT) with daily laboratory operations.
• Conduct instrument maintenance, quality control, and troubleshooting.
• Perform Laboratory Assistant duties and collaborate with team members to share skills.
