Lab Supervisor - Northeast Georgia Physicians Group NGPG - Toccoa Lab - FT Days

About the role

Responsible for the day to day operations of the clinical laboratory. Including but not limited to technical operations, performance improvement, safety, credentialing and human resources management of the laboratory. Responsible for the financial management of the lab including budgeting and cost control and containment.

Responsibilities

• Aids section leads in establishing work schedules and assignments as needed to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
• Develops training and competency assessments.
• Completes employee reviews, productivity analysis, disciplinary actions, personnel action forms, orientation and training forms.
• Counsels staff during monthly staff meetings to address employee concerns.
• Maintains all policies and procedures in compliance with the DNV, AABB and CAP.
• Determines processes for corrective action if necessary.
• Coordinates and guides workflow in the department.
• Attends monthly section supervisors' meetings as necessary.
• Develops departmental and organizational strategic goals and objectives collaboratively with Lab Manager and Director.
• Attends at least two conferences and/or lectures yearly to maintain knowledge and familiarity with advancements in technology and trends.
• Maintains overall efficiency, productivity and financial indicators of the Lab.
• Sends productivity, staffing and variance reports as requested.
• Investigates variance reports and complaints by physicians and provides outlines for corrective action.

Requirements

• Licensure or other certifications: Meets the requirements of the State of Georgia.
• Educational Requirements: Bachelors in Medical Technology or a related science.
• Minimum Experience: Two (2) years lab management experience.
• Preferred Job Qualifications: Preferred Licensure or other certifications; Preferred Educational Requirements; Preferred Experience; Other: Other.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $XX,XXX - $XXXX per year, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The shift is an 8-hour morning-afternoon schedule.
