Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Log in, track, correctly store and dispose of all samples
- Familiar with API procedures and EPA regulations
- Prepare and report on samples according to industry standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the retention and storage area
- Attend monthly safety meetings
Required Skills
- High school diploma and related industry experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets
- Professional interaction with colleagues and clients
Working Conditions
- Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic/caustic chemicals
- Must pass drug and alcohol tests, including marijuana testing
- May require Pulmonary Fitness and Respirator Fit Tests annually
- Physical examination by a designated physician before and during employment
- Standing and lifting/carrying up to 45 lbs required
- Work in environments with odors typical of petroleum/petrochemicals
Physical Requirements
- Pass drug and alcohol tests
- Pass annual Pulmonary Fitness and Respirator Fit Tests
- Pass a physical examination by a physician designated by AmSpec Services
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift/carry up to 45 lbs
- Ability to work in environments with odors within OSHA-designated PELs
