Lab Processor/Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Accurate patient and specimen identity
• Accurate ordering of tests
• Accurate labeling of tubes and specimens
• Accurate separation, sorting, aliquoting and organization of transport specimens
• Processing transport specimens to the appropriate departments

Requirements

• One year of experience as a phlebotomist
• One year of experience in a hospital environment preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Driver's License

• Strong interaction with patients, hospital staff and physicians
• Maintain high level of confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to speak the English language clearly
• Ability to troubleshoot/maintain proper operation of business equipment (preferred)
• Collect specimens from patients of all ages
• Teach students phlebotomy skills
