Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service skills by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner
- Collects all specimens according to established procedures from patients and ensures proper processing
- Identifies patients accurately and matches their identity with the correct service for patient safety
- Responsible for data entry and processing of specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as requested by test orders
- Performs departmental-related clerical duties such as checking inventory, stocking supplies, and answering phones as needed
- Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED
- Licensure/Certification: Phlebotomist Certification preferred but not required
- One-year phlebotomy experience preferred but not required
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred

- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
