Lab Installer - Houston

About the Role

Our Lab Installers build, install, and repair structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using materials such as plastic laminate, wood, and steel in lab settings. This role requires extensive travel to job sites for extended periods and a strong commitment to safety, detail, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively to job sites for extended periods.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations, including PPE and OSHA standards.
• Unload trucks and inspect/clean surfaces in preparation for material installation.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions and meet deadlines individually or as part of a team.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Assemble and install commercial millwork, metal products, casework, countertops, wall panels, accessories, wood and sports court flooring, gym equipment, and hardware of various materials.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and supervisors.
• Foster positive teamwork relationships.
• Represent the company professionally.

Requirements

• Practical work experience relevant to this position; experience with installation of equipment or athletic equipment in a project environment preferred.
• Strong technical and organizational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication in a professional environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to sit, hear, speak, and use a telephone for communication.
• Arm, hand, and finger dexterity for reaching, handling, grasping, and keyboard use.
• Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
• Ability to work outdoors, indoors in extreme temperatures, confined spaces, high places, and excavated areas.
• Must kneel, stoop, and squat often.
• Ability to swing a hammer and use hands and power tools.
• May work around chemicals, grinding, torching, cranes, and moving equipment.
• Ability to work in close contact with others.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for 8+ hours.
• Ability to lift both arms overhead.
• Keen vision and hearing.
