About the role

The Information Technologist (IT) at Albany Med Health System manages laboratory data and information, supporting all laboratory areas in delivering quality services.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with customers and employees using effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Support laboratory marketing through excellent customer service and regular communication with clients and potential clients.
• Utilize LIS and HIS computer systems for inquiries, test orders, result entry, billing, credits, and worksheet generation.
• Direct routine and special courier runs, handle client special requests, and resolve delivery problems.

Qualifications

• BS from an accredited college or university, with a degree in science, computer science, or business preferred.
• One year experience in a computerized clinical laboratory.
