Lab Engineer 1, OMHS MHE Hardware
Description
We are seeking an experienced Lab Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join our testing laboratory. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various testing equipment, transducers, data acquisition systems, and mechanical assembly capabilities. Key job responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and execute test procedures for mechanical and electromechanical systems
- Build, modify, and maintain test fixtures and equipment
- Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test equipment and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reliability
- Participate in the assembly of material handling equipment
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration compliance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in testing and QA environments
- Experience with mechanical systems
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools
- Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical assembly of diverse equipment particularly Material Handling Equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE), or experience in similar environments
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design, and advanced assemblies
- Experience with project management
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods
- Familiarity with quality management systems
- Experience with 5S practices

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
- USA, KY, Hebron - 39.47 - 69.08 USD hourly
- USA, OH, Cincinnati - 39.47 - 69.08 USD hourly
- USA, OH, SPRINGDALE - 39.47 - 69.08 USD hourly
