Lab Attendant (Part-time, Saturday)

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services in engineering design and documentation, software development and testing, system integration, lab management, integrated logistics support, training development, multimedia support, and technical system support.

About the role

This is a part-time position required to work every Saturday from 8:00am-4:00pm. The Lab Attendant performs lab support and provides assistance at the entrance and inside a classified lab.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for securing the lab
• Greets and escorts guests throughout the lab
• Supports program and site security as required to support the lab
• Ensures security paperwork exists for all visitors
• Completes and maintains lab visitor forms for all visitors
• Ensures database is kept up to date with security access information
• Inputs movement of parts through the lab using a web-based tool
• Coordinates with security and others for all tours through the lab
• Helps ensure that electronic devices are not brought into the lab
• Adheres to all established customer security, safety, and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency
• Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level DoD Security Clearance before starting work
• Willingness to work every Saturday

Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Reliable, disciplined self-starter able to work with little supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
