Lab Associate I

About the role

Join our team at Barnes Jewish Hospital to make a direct impact on patient care and operations. Full Time or Part Time: M-F, Rotating Weekends, Day, evening, and night shift options.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.
• Performs phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
• Captures and coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• No Supervisor Experience
• Preferred:
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Phlebotomy Certification
