Position Duration Six-month contract role with potential to extend or convert to FTE based on performance and business needs Position Summary The Lab Associate plays a crucial role in supporting Research and Development laboratories. Their responsibilities include procuring, receiving, and organizing reagents and materials, as well as maintaining an accurate inventory of laboratory consumables. This position also involves fulfilling diverse requests from research personnel related to lab procedures and proactively addressing potential laboratory needs. Primary Responsibilities Facilitate a clean, neat, and organized laboratory through routine lab clean-up eventsManage laboratory consumable and reagent inventoryPrepare, aliquot, and stock reagents as needed.Placing R&D orders, receiving, and delivering/storing itemsEnsure strict adherence to environmental, health and safety (EHS) and good laboratory practices (GLP) guidelinesMonitor satellite waste streams, including biohazardous and hazardous chemical waste, and dispose of them according to EHS guidelinesConduct routine lab safety inspectionsPerform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor or manager Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in life-science or related field preferred1 year of experience working in a laboratory environment Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced settingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detailExceptional organizational capabilitiesSelf-motivated individualCollaborative team playerPositive and proactive attitudeProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applicationsCapability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
