Major Job Duties
- Making sure open studios are monitored and signed in by enrolled students.
- Assisting instructors as needed.
- Creating a schedule for studio/lab coverage with the Manager of Arts Operations and faculty.
- Reporting any schedule changes to the MAO.
- Posting the studio/lab schedule in the Tattoo Art classrooms.
- Checking out and ensuring the safe use of tattoo machines and equipment.
- Helping students with technical questions about Tattoo Art techniques and safety.
- Ensuring the studio and equipment are cleaned up after each session.
- Performing weekly inventory of lab fee materials and consumables.
- Picking up supplies from local vendors as needed.
- Ordering and receiving materials in partnership with faculty and the MAO.
- Performing simple repairs on equipment and contacting MOA or vendors for repairs if necessary.
Secondary Job Duties
- Keeping a weekly log of work done in the studio.
- Reporting any problems with studio conditions, HVAC, plumbing, and trash removal to the Arts main office.
- Reporting any issues to IT regarding digital printing.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the MAO or Dean.
Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of job-related experience.
- Familiarity with tattoo art techniques and safety protocols.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- A pre-placement physical required.
Pay
HOURLY RATE $20.2135 - $21.6284 (commensurate with experience)
