Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
• Performs EKGs (preferred).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• No prior work experience required; 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• Experience working in a healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent agency required (CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification).
