Lab Assistant-PRN, Variable Shifts

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• No experience required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Required
• Preferred: Experience in performing EKGs
• Preferred: Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
• Preferred: Licenses and Certifications - CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification, Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency
