Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist, PRN, Variable

About the role

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Work Experience: No experience required
• Work Experience: 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Licenses and Certifications: None Required
• Licenses and Certifications: CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification
• Licenses and Certifications: Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
• Preferred Experience: Experience in performing EKGs
• Preferred Experience: Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
