Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist - PRN

About the role

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• Work Experience: No experience required, 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist preferred
• Preferred Experience: performing EKGs, working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
• Licenses and Certifications: CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification, Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency preferred
