Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist - PRN

About the Role

This position is responsible for specimen collection, processing, and registration, including phlebotomy and basic customer service. Additional duties may include handling culture setup and gram stain preparation in Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
• Process and send specimens
• Enter orders and accession samples
• Generate reports
• Provide basic customer service
• Maintain inventory and supplies
• Handle culture setup and gram stain preparation when assigned to Microbiology
• Perform other duties as needed, with a focus on safety, infection control, and quality patient care

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Phlebotomy certification and 1 year of experience preferred
