Lab Assistant/ Phlebotomist
Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws and collect specimens
- Update patient information in the electronic health record
- Process and prepare lab samples
- Inject patients with medications after verification by a provider, to the extent permitted by law
- Perform finger sticks and TB skin tests
- Measure and describe skin test reaction in Electronic Health Record system (EHR)
- Report any reactions exceeding thresholds to the provider
- Perform CLIA waived In-House tests ordered by providers
- Maintain quality control of all In-House laboratory tests
Requirements
- Valid California Phlebotomy license
- At least 2 years of prior experience in a medical care setting, including phlebotomy and injection experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 1 year of phlebotomy or lab experience
- Bilingual Spanish preferred

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
