Position Highlights: Position: Lab Assistant II
Location: Elmhurst Hospital 155 E Brush Hill Road Elmhurst, IL
PART-TIME (0.5 FTE)

About the Role

About 20 hrs./week
Evening shift: 3pm-11:30pm or 6pm-10pm; Monday through Friday; Includes every other weekend and holiday rotations

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision of the supervisor or Medical Lab Scientist, and according to detailed instructions, performs Waived and moderate complexity procedures in accordance with established departmental procedures and professional standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferably in biological or chemistry science
• Minimum one year of previous clinical lab experience
• Ability to understand instructions and make judgments
• A strong orientation to detail to ensure proper labeling of patient specimens, verification of patient information and correct input of data and the ability to perceive similarities and differences in color

Pay

The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
