Schedule & Hours
- Early morning shift: start between 4:30 AM – 5:30 AM
- 2–4 days per week
- No weekends or holidays required
- Home base: IU Health Bloomington Hospital
- Outreach role – travel required between multiple sites
- Daily locations may vary
Key Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy (primary focus)
- Collect patient samples at assigned outreach locations
- Transport samples back to Bloomington Hospital
- Complete sample accessioning and billing
Typical Day
- Start at Bloomington Hospital to gather supplies
- Travel to assigned outreach location
- Perform patient collections
- Return to base for sample processing and documentation

Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program with experience in laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical or related science preferred
- May require a valid Indiana Operator’s license and a good driving history for the last three years
- May require an understanding of the traffic laws in the State of Indiana
- Working knowledge of computers
- Telephone skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
- Able to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
