Responsibilities
- Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
- Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
- Affords assistance to technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- No experience required
- One year of experience as a phlebotomist required
- Prior experience in performing EKGs preferred
- Prior experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting preferred
- CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification required
- Preferred experience with CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency
