About the role
Under the direction of the Department Manager and/or Supervisor, the Laboratory Assistant is responsible for performing laboratory testing following the policies and procedures of the Laboratory Department and the hospital. The Laboratory Assistant utilizes the process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate Laboratory performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate laboratory performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Clinical Laboratory experience required.
- High School Diploma or Undergraduate Academic Degree.
- California Certified Phlebotomy Tech license.
- CPI required within 30 days of hire.
