Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of moderately complex laboratory tests or protocols based on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Analyzes data, interprets results and makes detailed observations concerning a particular technique.
- Maintains laboratory notebooks and logbooks according to protocol.
- Inputs data for reports and summaries.
- Performs routine maintenance of instruments and sample preparation apparatus.
- Plans and schedules daily work based on supervisor's input.
- Identifies and solves simple problems in the laboratory, such as ensuring sufficient lab supplies and reagents are available to perform assigned tasks.
- Maintains a clean laboratory, equipment, and lab apparatus and practices safe waste disposal.
- Follows QC/QA protocols, and participates in QA and safety programs, preventative maintenance, and various trainings.

- Good math and basic statistical calculation skills
- Have a basic knowledge of general chemistry
- Must have a solid analytical aptitude and understanding of quality metrics
- Capable of managing multiple competing priorities
- Maintains confidentiality while handling sensitive information
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exercises some discretion and independent judgment
- Computer proficiency in working with databases (LIMS) and other software and systems
Qualifications
- AA degree (in chemistry or related discipline) with a minimum 4 yrs relevant experience or B.S. degree (in chemistry or related discipline) or M.S degree with no relevant experience

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Pay
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $62,400.00 and $74,000.00/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
