As a Laboratory Analyst based in Quincy, WA, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our municipal clients can deliver services uninterrupted. You’ll assist laboratory staff in the collection and analysis of chemical and microbiological samples of water and wastewater influent and effluent, sludge, marine waters and other process analyses, performing a variety of chemical, biochemical, and bacteriological tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist laboratory staff in the collection and analysis of chemical and microbiological samples of water and wastewater influent and effluent, sludge, marine waters and other process analyses.
• Perform a variety of chemical, biochemical, and bacteriological tests.
• Use laboratory equipment and materials, perform routine computations, and maintain records.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative relationships with contacts.
• Maintain laboratory records and prepare laboratory reports.
• Maintain a comprehensive quality assurance program while operating equipment such as pH meters, balances, furnaces, autoclaves, incubators, and calculators.
• Assist with pilot study activities.
• Help maintain, clean, and care for laboratory equipment and materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the stormwater system using a jet‑vac combination truck.
• Prepare reports, maintain logs and work orders.
• Ensure the safety, health, and well‑being of yourself and your team; be a team player.
