About the role
The part-time seasonal Business Development Associate will support the SVP Business Development & Brand Experience and the Business Development Specialist by assisting with gameday operations, VIP and celebrity hospitality, executive administrative tasks, and special projects. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their career in sports, offering foundational knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities to pursue full-time positions. Availability for most LA Kings home games during the 2026-27 season is required.
Responsibilities
- Attend Los Angeles Kings home games to assist with business development initiatives, VIP hospitality, and executive support.
- Organize and fulfill VIP ticket requests, maintain guest lists, and coordinate ticket distribution.
- Assist with all celebrity and VIP logistics from ingress to egress.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President by maintaining organized project files for ongoing initiatives, meetings, and special events.
- Offer general administrative and operational support for special projects and additional business development initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Passion for sports and live entertainment.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Marketing, Communication, or Business (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and ability to multi-task under pressure.
- Desire to learn more about the sports and entertainment industry.
- Must be available to work most home games, including nights and weekends.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (BA/BS Degree preferred).
- 1-2 years of related work experience.
Pay
$19 per hour. This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
