Responsibilities
- Supervise and perform all hardware/software upgrading activities
- Backup maintenance on all computers
- Understand and ability to install, configure and test all workstation hardware/software
- Perform technical support for North American Clients
- Contact internet provider and quickly deal with any internet issues/outages
- Resolve all monitoring station network related issues quickly and efficiently
- Resolve all customer network related issues quickly and efficiently
- Create detailed documentation of all work performed
- Create and upkeep technical manuals
- Maintain CCTV and access control infrastructure internally and externally
- Daily communication with customers verbally and via email
- Schedule and attend all technical support meetings and sessions with staff and customers
- Update service records every single time a service or interaction is performed on any hardware or software inside the station, or customers' sites, or customers' customer sites
- Take ownership of tasks and ensure complete resolution
- Pay close attention to detail while performing technical tasks
- Quickly learn new technologies through the use of self-study materials
- Provide accurate estimates of how long tasks will take
Requirements
- Experience in network administration
- Experience in working with Cisco Meraki, Ubiquity and Mikrotik
- Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Windows System Maintenance
- Solid understanding of existing and emerging technologies
- Ability to focus on results and execute the plan as discussed and decided
- Able to adapt to new technologies and business strategies
- Able to remain calm during stressful situations
Qualifications
- Nice to have knowledge: IPv4 subnetting and supernetting
- Nice to have knowledge: 5 GHz wireless best practices
- Nice to have knowledge: Windows Active Directory User Management
- Nice to have knowledge: Network Monitoring Software (Cacti, Dude and Nagios)
