L1 Additive Operator Trainee

About the role

This position requires constant monitoring of the batter system and the ability to operate and troubleshoot the batter and condiment equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understands how to look up QA Specifications for batter and condiment
• Understands product codes and labels on batter and condiment tickets and how to use manifest to track inventory
• Safely opens, handles and hangs batter bags
• Maintains dry batter hopper and auger levels as needed
• Maintains expected level of sanitation in work area
• Fills out paperwork as required
• Communicates problems to appropriate personnel
• Maintains sugar mix tank concentration as required
• Adds condiment to the formed line hopper when needed
• Assembles/Disassemble batter equipment when needed
• Performs assigned duties during cut changes and defrost as required
• Cleans under and around batter and sugar mix areas
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education/ Certifications: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are required

• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
• Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral
• Ability to perform basic math functions
• Basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Physical Environment/Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
• Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature
• Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
• Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties
• Ability to operate work related equipment
