About the role

This position offers expert, compassionate care throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. It requires monitoring fetal heart rates and maternal status, assisting with deliveries and emergencies, and supporting mothers and families emotionally and physically.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fetal heart rate and maternal status during labor and delivery
• Aid in deliveries and manage emergencies
• Provide emotional and physical support to mothers and families
• Ensure the stability and comfort of patients during critical times

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• At least 1 year of RN experience, with a focus on labor and delivery
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active South Carolina RN license or a compact license
• BLS certification from AHA

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in high-stakes environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and ability to work long shifts
• Knowledge of postpartum care and newborn care
