About the role
Ontra is seeking a KYC Analyst, reporting to our Managing Director, KYC, on our KYC Team. We're looking for someone excited to support Private Investment firms' Know Your Customer (KYC) needs, both screening and reverse KYC, to help them facilitate loan closings, counterparty onboarding, and ongoing refreshes. If you have a strong background in KYC processes, know the rules, regulations, and market norms, and have exceptional organizational and KYC diligence skills, we’d love to get to know you.
For this role, we are currently only hiring candidates based in the United States, prioritizing those in the US Eastern and Central Time Zones.
Responsibilities
- KYC Screening: Complete KYC Screening/Onboardings in accordance with customer-specific compliance playbook
- Reverse KYC: Respond to incoming KYC/due diligence requests from banks, lenders, and counterparties on behalf of Private Investment firm clients
- Customer Relationships: Support Private Investment firms regularly, learning their policies and ways of working
- Customer Communication: Engage in customer interactions regularly, ensuring clear, efficient, and positive communication within a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a KYC professional or paralegal
- Prior KYC/reverse KYC experience at a bank or a private equity fund
- Ability to interface directly with customers and counterparties to collect information, answer questions, and ensure a smooth and responsive KYC experience
- Skill in accurately completing a high volume of KYC requests, including document collection, questionnaire responses, and stakeholder coordination
- Maintains a high level of polish and responsiveness in external communications, representing the brand and commitment to service quality

Pay
Ontra takes individual candidate location, experience, and skills into consideration when determining compensation. The base pay range for this role is $83,330 - $116,600. Some positions may be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission, variable compensation, profits interest units, or other equity-based compensation.
Schedule
- Occasional travel is required, including typically at least twice per year to attend team and larger group offsites for in-person collaboration. For some roles, additional travel may be required based on business need.
