About the role

As a Kubernetes Platform Engineer at Booz Allen, you will develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and leverages cloud capabilities. Your responsibilities include developing container management software, supporting strategy and design, and recommending resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and operate production Kubernetes clusters
  • Support your team in informing strategy and designing cloud platforms
  • Ensure standards are met throughout the containerization process
  • Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers
  • Strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting critical cloud platform development

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or systems engineering within classified environments
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS, including IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB/ALB/NLB, and CloudWatch
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud environments, programming languages, and supporting CI/CD
  • Experience operating Linux-based systems such as RedHat or CentOS and scripting languages such as Python or Bash
  • Experience creating technical documentation, system diagrams, and SOPs
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, container registry management, and image-hardening approaches

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience in DevSecOps
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps

Skills

  • Experience with using AI tools for development
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community mission partners
  • Knowledge of cloud-native tooling or vulnerability-analysis concepts
  • Knowledge of modernization frameworks used across mission programs

Pay

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).

This position is located in Chantilly, VA.
