About the role
This role is hands-on and execution-focused, contributing to platform operations, automation, workload support, and continuous improvement of container platforms. Infrastructure Engineers work with senior engineers and technical leads to implement platform standards, troubleshoot issues, automate repeatable tasks, and strengthen the reliability, scalability, and security of Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and support Kubernetes platform services and supporting ecosystem components.
- Deploy and maintain containerized workloads and platform integrations using GitOps practices.
- Implement infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
- Support Kubernetes cluster lifecycle activities including upgrades, patching, scaling, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot platform, networking, storage, and workload-related issues across Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with application teams to onboard workloads and adopt platform standards.
- Aid in CI/CD and GitOps delivery pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, or similar.
- Apply security, RBAC, compliance, and policy standards across Kubernetes platforms.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, change management, and reliability improvements.
- Contribute to automation and self-service capabilities that reduce operational overhead.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 1+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience supporting containerized workloads or platform operations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting Red Hat OpenShift or enterprise Kubernetes platforms
- Familiarity with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD, RHACM, or Flux
- Exposure to public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK, or OpenTelemetry
- Familiarity with Helm, Kubernetes Operators, ingress controllers, or service mesh technologies
- Understanding of Kubernetes security practices including RBAC, secrets management, image security, and policy enforcement
- Exposure to platform engineering, self-service infrastructure, or developer enablement practices
