Duties and Responsibilities
- Handles initial cordial reception and escort to a dining table.
- Advises guests of waiting times during reservation periods.
- Assists and facilitates the restaurant seating and reservation system.
- Buffet environment: takes guest beverage orders and informs about food outlets.
- Ala carte environment: seats guests and presents menus.
- Answers telephones and takes reservations.
- Verifies reservations and compliments, if applicable.
- Receives payment from casino guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Adheres to cash control policies and procedures.
- Answers guest questions and refers to appropriate management personnel.
- Helps maintain podium by stocking supplies and cleaning as needed.
- Assists with special requests when applicable.
- Answers questions about food offerings, hours of operation, and pricing.
- Maintains professional grooming and appearance.
- Makes guests’ needs a priority, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled.
- Maintains professional rapport with marketing hosts and communicates needs.
- Demonstrates promptness, efficiency, and courtesy to guests.
- Records preferential information within the reservation system for future service.
- Utilizes menu knowledge.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Three months of fast food/quick service cashier experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
