Responsibilities
- Maintain organized physical and digital files for complex business litigation cases; track deadlines and manage the firm’s master calendar.
- Translate legal correspondence, contracts, and evidence (emails, texts, memos) from Korean to English and vice versa.
- Provide live interpretation during client meetings, intake interviews, and occasionally during preparation for depositions.
- Prepare shells for pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and basic motions.
- Assist with the collection and "Bates stamping" of documents, specifically ensuring Korean-language documents are correctly categorized for review.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Korean-speaking business owners and executives, providing status updates and gathering necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- No experience is required, but 1-2 years of experience in administrative/accounting or legal work is preferred.
- Native or fluent in Korean (reading, speaking, and writing).
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Experience in construction is a strong plus.
