About the role
We are looking to hire professionals for translating jobs online from Korean to English and English to Korean with adequate subject matter expertise and experience in Physical Sciences & Engineering. The type of documents include scientific articles for publication, specifications, manuals, packaging materials, marketing or R&D resources, etc., received from academic organizations as well various industries.
Responsibilities
- Translate scientific, technical, and mathematical documents from Korean to English and vice versa.
- Ensure accurate and effective communication of complex ideas and concepts between languages.
- Work in specific areas of specialization within Physical Sciences & Engineering such as Astronomy/Astrophysics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Statistics, Computer/Information Sciences, Material Science & Engineering, Systems Science, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Forensic Sciences, Energy and power, Hardware, IT, Information Systems, and Telecommunication, etc.
Requirements
- Recognized graduate qualification in translation from an institution of higher education.
- or Recognized graduate qualification in any other field from an institution of higher education with two years of full time experience in translation.
- or Five years of full time professional experience in translation.
- Native speaker of Korean/English with proven English/Korean skills.
Qualifications
- Subject matter expertise in Physical Sciences & Engineering.
- Fluent in both Korean and English.
