About the role

Responsibilities
- Knowledge Strategy: Work with Knowledge Partners, Knowledge Counsel, and real estate lawyers to assess knowledge needs, define and implement a plan to meet those needs, and monitor developments in the legal and business environment.
- Modernization of Practice Tools and Processes: Collaborate with Mayer Brown's Innovation and IT teams to adopt modern tools and processes for configuring and delivering legal services, including artificial intelligence.
- Organizing and Sharing: Create and maintain a collection of Real Estate-related knowledge resources, such as standard forms, precedents, and research materials, and coordinate with other practices for consistency.
- Current Awareness and Thought Leadership: Keep the Group informed about important legal and business developments and prepare regular current awareness newsletters.
- Lawyer Training and Technical Expertise: Identify training needs, organize and deliver training programs, and mentor associates.
- Matter Management and Collaboration: Establish processes for capturing and categorizing matter descriptions and conducting post-matter reviews, and assist with producing closing binders and collecting precedent documents.
- People and Relationship Information: Establish processes for capturing and publishing information about individuals with relevant knowledge and experience in the Firm's CRM systems.
- Other Duties: Participate in knowledge-related activities, attend external training and conferences, and provide other knowledge support as needed.
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
- Actual practice experience in Real Estate law, admitted to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Deep subject-matter expertise on Real Estate legal work and commercial issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- High professional standards, excellent drafting and research skills, effective organizational and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a diverse team environment, and handle multiple projects.
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative, strong customer service skills, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.
