Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of knowledge and data assets for the department.
- Manage workflows for tracking documents and generating insights into matter types and deal points.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data extracted by AI solutions and resolve discrepancies.
- Design, test and iterate generative AI prompts tailored to department-specific use cases.
- Build scalable workflows, including standardized playbooks, decision trees, exception pathways and escalation criteria, and assist in the implementation thereof.
- Curate and maintain clause banks, exemplar document sets, issues lists and deal point databases; produce and curate knowledge management reports.
- Oversee the maintenance of matter trackers and experience databases.
- Lead meetings, trainings and presentations to promote knowledge tools, resources, processes, data standards, platforms, AI usage guidelines and workflow best practices.
- Capture feedback to improve knowledge management products, solutions and processes.
- Respond to attorney inquiries by locating precedent, surfacing curated knowledge resources and implementing solutions, tools and best practices for the department.
- Provide other knowledge support to the department as directed by the Corporate Practice Manager and practitioners.
- Where appropriate and aligned with client matters, take on billable assignments that leverage subject-matter and data expertise.
- Additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Corporate associate with expertise across a broad range of corporate transactions, ideally including private equity/M&A, capital markets and corporate governance.
- Degree and admission to at least one state bar required.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing deadlines and shifting priorities with a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Strong understanding of legal knowledge management, data structuring or technology-enabled legal processes, including precedent curation and a commitment to continuous improvement of the department’s knowledge strategy.
- Proficiency with legal technology and research tools, with the ability to translate practitioner needs into structured requirements and test cases.
- Familiarity with generative AI and prompt engineering concepts, with a genuine curiosity to learn and experiment with these tools.
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and sound business judgment.
- Self-motivated with strong accountability, flexibility and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to exercise good business judgment and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Self-motivated problem solver who is able to collaborate with attorneys and non-legal staff across departments.
